White Notley Station

White Notley Railway Station serves the village of White Notley with regular Greater Anglia trains on the Braintree Branch Line. In typical off-peak hours of service, trains from White Notley depart the station once an hour to Braintree and Witham respectively. Witham-bound services continue throughout the week onto the Great Eastern Main Line terminating at London Liverpool Street. On Sundays, trains terminate at Witham, but onward connections to London are still possible.

Bicycle storage units are provided for any customers wishing to leave their cycles at White Notley ahead of travel. As there are no ticketing provisions available at the station, passengers should purchase tickets in advance or on the train from a guard. Waiting shelters are installed on the platform along with seating for customer comfort ahead of travel. Train running information is provided via digital departure and arrival screens and automated announcements. There is step-free access to the platform.

You can join the Essex Way just a few minutes from the station. The Essex Way is a waymarked long distance footpath 81 miles (130km) long, along footpaths and roads. From White Notley you have the choice of walking to Coggeshall or perhaps Pleshey or West Bergholt.
