Battlesbridge railway station opened in 1889 and is comprised of a single platform. Sitting on the Crouch Valley Line, the station provides the village of Battlesbridge with easy access to London via services to Liverpool Street (with a change at Wickford).

Nestled between Wickford and South Woodham Ferrers the station, Battlesbridge has seen a steady increase in passenger usage, not least as the journey to London takes around 45 minutes.

Known locally for its crafts and antique centre - a converted mill and several pleasant riverside walks along the River Crouch, Battlesbridge is popular with visitors looking to escape from the nearby city of Chelmsford.
