On Saturday 18th September 30 people enjoyed an excellent town walk through Witham’s historic town centre and through the green space of the river walk. Organised by ESSCRP, we were very lucky to have the Town Mayor to guide us.
We were also joined by the new vicar (and his dog!) and by the Community Police Officer – a great help when it came to shepherding us across the roads!
It was a very successful event in itself and allowed us to promote the benefits of incorporating train stations into routes when looking for walks as a leisure activity.
