It is with great excitement we are pleased to confirm Southminster Station has two new adopters – Bob and Andrew. Both are keen gardeners and are ready to reclaim control of the many pots and beds at the station which have been left unattended for the last few year. Their efforts can already be seen with pots being cleared and daffodils planted ready for winter. Plans are afoot to tackle the large garden area next year.
This will coincide with the opening of the Mens Shed who are establishing themselves in the station buildings. The Mens Shed is a space to meeting like-minded people, to potter, garden, and do woodwork. They are about having fun, sharing skills and knowledge with like-minded people and gaining a renewed sense of purpose and belonging.
