We had an excellent day last month celebrating Manningtree station’s 180th anniversary alongside our incredible volunteers and supporters. Despite the hot weather, it was fantastic to see such a strong turnout, with so many members of the local community coming together to mark this important milestone in the station’s history.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on 180 years of railway heritage and the vital role the station continues to play in connecting people and communities. We were delighted to welcome the Deputy Lieutenant, who helped make the occasion even more special by officially cutting the anniversary cake.
A huge thank you goes to all of our volunteers, whose hard work, enthusiasm and dedication helped make the celebration such a success. It was a memorable day filled with community spirit, local pride and a shared appreciation for this historic station, and we are grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate this remarkable anniversary.
