The Rail Ale Trail was produced in conjunction with the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) to highlight pubs which serve real ale and are within walking distance of the stations along the Flitch Line between Witham and Braintree. The booklet includes details of the pubs, the walking routes and has a place for a stamp from each featured pub.
The competition offered the prize of a copy of the 2024 Good Beer Guide on its publication to the first person to send a fully completed booklet back to ESSCRP.
