It’s been a busy month at Battlesbridge Station! The Essex Bat Group, along with our dedicated volunteer, Buzz, have set up a bat monitor to track the local bat population. Bat populations in the UK have declined significantly, particularly over the last century, due to a combination of factors, including habitat loss, pesticide use, and loss of food sources. We’re proud to support efforts to improve nature and this project is just one of the many initiatives our local communities are pursuing to protect our wildlife!
