Last week 35 women and young people from the Bangladeshi Women’s Association Essex (Colchester Branch) were treated to a day out at the seaside by the ESSCRP and Greater Anglia. They joined us at Colchester Town and went to the beach at Walton on the Naze. The group walked down to Frinton, passing the brightly coloured beach huts and then picnicking on the Greensward in North Frinton. Their motto is ‘All women and their families are empowered to lead healthy lives’ and the ladies truly lived up to it by organising games, healthy food and a good walk in the sunshine.
The walk from Walton to Frinton takes about an hour and is mostly on even ground, although there are some steep slopes. With beach huts for hire and wonderful scenery, we would definitely recommend a visit this summer!
