Time and Tide Bells were created by sculptor and musician Marcus Vergette.
His design is unique both for the harmonic structure of the bells, and that they are rung by the tidal energy of the sea.
There are other Time and Tide Bells in coastal towns around the UK.
The Harwich Bell was installed on 25th September 2022 and is a short walk away from the Harwich Town Station on the Harwich Heritage trail
