Walk from Ingatestone station to Billericay

17 September 2022 | 10:00am

Join us for a guided walk which covers not just two railway stations but also two lines of Greater Anglia’s railway network. Leaving from the front of Ingatestone’s Grade II listed railway station we will go via Ingatestone Hall, Padhams Green and Mountnessing Church up into Billericay by Radford Way and the station. The walk is approximately four miles long.
Both Ingatestone and Billericay have historic links: Ingatestone particularly with the Petre family; whilst Billericay has links with the Mayflower.
Either get the train back from Billericay station, or, for the energetic, walk to return to Ingatestone station.
Whilst it is free to attend this event, please reserve your place via our Eventbrite page so we can be aware of numbers.

Well behaved, friendly, sociable dogs are welcome if kept on a lead at all times. Please arrive in sufficient time. There is parking (payable) at the station or why not consider coming by train.
Disclaimer: This walk will be led by a volunteer with knowledge of the area. By undertaking the walk you are taking responsibility for your own safety. Allow up to three and a half hours for the walk, which is a leisurely four miles long of moderate difficulty.
