Father Christmases helpers will be on board the train to entertain you as you journey to the Wickford Christmas Festivities where the big man himself will be waiting in his grotto to hear if you have been good this year.
Catch the 14:06 train at Southminster on Sunday 26 November. Tickets are £5 per adult and £3 per child. The price includes entrance to see Father Christmas at the Wickford at Christmas festivities plus return train travel between Southminster and Wickford.
The Father Christmas grotto voucher will be given to children on the 14:06 train from Southminster.
Wickford at Christmas invites you to join their festive celebrations once the train arrives at Wickford. Head to the town centre, watch the entertainment on the main stage, and bring your pennies to visit the local shops, food providers and market stalls each offering Christmas delights and for rides on the children’s fairground. Activities culminate with the Wickford Christmas lights being turned on by the Lord-Lieutenant of Essex at 4.30pm.
Please note
- The event will take place in a designated carriage of a normal service train. Please ensure you have your event train ticket printed and show it to the staff as you board the train.
- Once you have purchased your tickets Greater Anglia will email confirmation of your payment. Within a few days you will be issued a second email with the code to enter into the ticket machines. At the machine it will ask you to insert a payment card, this can be any and not necessarily the one actually used to make the payment.
- There is planned engineering works on the Shenfield to Chelmsford main line, bus rail replacement will be offered for that route if you are traveling along that section.
