Celebrating Crouch Valley 125th Anniversary4th July saw John Whittingdale MP launch an Exhibition of railway archive photography and memorabilia in the waiting room at South Woodham Ferrers Station entitled “Changing Tracks at South Woodham Ferrers”. The exhibition is celebrating 125 years of the Crouch Valley line which runs for 16½ miles through beautiful Essex countryside from Southminster to Wickford.

The exhibition was the vision of the station adopters, Bob, Chris and Freddie they enlisted the help of the local history society who compiled the exhibition which was jointly funded by ESCRP and South Woodham Ferrers Town Council.

The exhibition is proving very popular each visitor is given a fact sheet and a commemorative bookmark. The exhibition is running until the end of the month and then moves to the council offices for August and to the town library for September.
