This is the fourth year of our Sea Shanty Train which year on year is growing in popularity.
The train was decorated with lots of sea faring nets and scary pirates!

Fun for all with singing crews entertaining the passengers, along with the best dressed pirate competition and activity packs for all the children. With the added entertainment from the Harwich Society who provided actors for the event all dressed in appropriate costume.

All passengers got off at Harwich for the fun of the festival, and could return at their leisure.

Travel by train to Wivenhoe, and spend a day exploring this quaint riverside village.  Just three miles south east of Colchester, it only takes a few minutes by train from there, without any parking or congestion hassles. Once you’ve arrived, almost all of the attractions below are only five minutes’ walk away and visiting one of the attractions could win you first class train tickets.

How to Visit Wivenhoe and win!

Community Rail in the CityJoin us in Liverpool Street Wednesday the 17th May 2017 from 7am to 7pm where we’ll be showing off all that Essex CRP lines have to offer along with our colleagues from Norfolk and Suffolk lines.  We’ll be giving away lots of goodies including information about places to visit, postcards (remember those?!) and a draw to win first class return train tickets anywhere on the Greater Anglia network.
