There was a great turn out for the three Sea Shanty trains which ran on the 8th and 9th October from Manningtree to Harwich where the 11th International Sea Shanty Festival was being held.
Children and adults dressed as pirates and were entertained by sea shanty crews and pirates on their journey. Children received activity packs, or were able to enjoy pirate themed lucky dips and receive captain badges. There were prizes for guess the name of the parrot, how many gems in the jar and the best dressed pirates.
Families and children had a great time and joined in with the songs and activities on their train journey.
We had raffles on each train for the Motor Neuron Disease Association(MNDA) with Abellio Greater Anglia (AGA) providing first class tickets for a family of four to travel anywhere on AGA as the prize on each train.
