Arlesford Fruit Trees in LineWe are very pleased that Arlesford station on the Sunshine coast line now has an orchard!  Ten fruit trees were planted last week which were provided by The Bee Friendly Trust  who were there on the day to help plant the trees with Terri and Jayne.

The trees are a mixture of apple, pear and plum and were selected as they are heritage trees native to the area. The area next to the station used to be an orchard before being used for farming and now housing.

This is another great project ESSCRP are proud to be involved in working in partnership with the Bee Friendly Trust  www.beefriendlytrust.org

Arlesford Station Fruit Tree

Wrabness Tea PartyThe walk at Wrabness, on Sunday the 25th March, went really well we had around 35 people attend many coming by train from Manningtree and Harwich, the walk started at 2pm from Wrabness Station led by our fantastic station volunteer t Wrabness Julia Prigg.

Julia gave an informative circular walk from the station and back to the community café at Wrabness where Essex and South Suffolk CRP provided teas, coffees and homemade cakes.

It was a great day which also celebrated English tourism week. There was lots of positive feedback and many people are already looking forward to the next one!
